Insert the batteries into the battery compartment according
to the correct polarity. Remove discharged batteries. Batteries contain materials hazardous to the environment. Dispose of the batteries according to the national regulations.Remove the batteries from the remote control if you will

Any use other than the intended use is regarded as misuse.
The device is not intended for industrial use.
Reasonably foreseeable misuse
• Do not place any objects, e.g. clothing, on the device.
• Do not use the device for heating in vehicles.
• Do not use this device in the vicinity of fuel, solvents,
varnishes or other easily inflammable vapours or in rooms
where these substances are stored.The device may not be used as a heating device for
babies / children or animals.• Never immerse the device in water.
• The device may not be exposed to moisture or weather
effects (rain, sunlight).
• Do not make any unauthorised modifications, alterations or
structural changes to the device.
Personnel qualification
People who use this device must:• be aware of the dangers that occur when working with
electric devices in damp areas. have read and understood the instructions, especially the Safety chapter.
• Maintenance tasks which require the housing to be opened
must only be carried out by specialist electrical companies or by
the manufacturer.

The device is used to quickly generate instant heat.The device is based on the functional principle of heat
generation by infrared radiation, which is generated by a halogen tube. The infrared radiation is passed on to the surrounding surfaces as heat radiation. Persons or objects are heated directly.The heating level and the LED elements can be adjusted via

If you store or transport the device improperly, the device may be damaged.Note the information regarding transport and storage of

Transport
Before transporting the device, observe the following:• Switch off the device by first pressing and holding the
Power button (9) until the device is in standby mode. Then set the mains switch (3) to position 0.
• Disconnect the device from the mains by removing the
mains plug from the socket. When doing so, be sure to

• Open the cardboard box and take the device out.
• Completely remove the packaging.
• Fully unwind the power cable. Make sure that the power
cable is not damaged and that you do not damage it during
unwinding.
Assembly
Risk of injury due to incorrect assembly! Local or national regulations may apply for installation.We recommend to have the installation carried out by a
qualified electrician.
Risk of fire due to improper installation!There is a risk of fire if the required minimum
distances are not observed. Observe the “Installation” section in the “Assembly and start-up” chapter and the technical data in the “Technical annex” chapter.
The device must not be placed directly below a socket,as the electrical cables may be hit when the device is
being mounted. This may cause an electric shock.
ü A suitable ceiling holder is preassembled. ü Make sure that the mains switch (3) of the device is in
position 0.
• Screw the setscrews 4) of the wire rope (2) into the holes
provided (8)
• Fasten the device on the ceiling by hooking the carabiner
hook (1) into the ceiling holder. Observe the minimum distances to the ceiling and floor (see chapter Technical data). Close the snap hook (1) and ensure it is properly
fastened.
Start-up
Info
Odours may occur upon initial start-up or after a longer
period of non-use.
• Before starting the device, check the condition of the
power cable. If there are doubts as to their sound condition, contact the customer service.
• Do not create tripping hazards when laying the power
cable or other electric cables, especially when positioning the device in the middle of the room. Use cable bridges.• Make sure that extension cables are completely unrolled.
• Make sure that there are no curtains or similar objects in
the immediate vicinity.
Connecting the power cable
• Connect the mains plug to a properly secured socket.
• Make sure that the mains cable does not touch any hot
• parts of the housing.
Route the power cable above the device. Ensure that the cable is never routed in the radiation area of the device!
Installation
When installing the device, observe the minimum distancesfrom walls and other objects as described in the Technical data
chapter.• Do not install the device directly behind a door.
• Never install the device in a way that it radiates directly
onto walls or other objects. Observe the minimumdistances from walls or other objects according to the
Technical data chapter.
Switching the device on
Once you have completely installed the device as described in
the chapter Assembly and start-up, you can switch it on.• Set the mains switch (3) to position I.
The device is in standby mode. The mains switch (3) is illuminated in red.
• Press the Power button (9) for several times to switch on
the heating and the LED elements or to activate the
device's standby mode again.
Notice
All settings can also be made via the remote control.
Shutdown
Do not touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands.
Set the mains switch (3) to position 0. Allow the device to cool down completely.• Disconnect the device from the mains by removing the
mains plug from the socket. When doing so, be sure to If required, clean the device according to the "Maintenance" chapter.Store the device according to the Transport and storage

Activating the LED elements
The grille (7) heats up during operation and can still be hot after switch-off. Do not touch the grille (7) during operation, wait until ithas cooled down after switch-off
The device does not respond to the infrared remote control:• Check whether the distance between remote control and
device is too large and reduce it if necessary.
• Make sure there are no obstacles, such as furniture or
walls, between the device and the remote control. Ensure visual contact between device and remote control.Check the charging status of the batteries and change
them if required. If the batteries have just been changed, check them for correct polarity.• The LED elements do not work:
• Check whether the power cable is plugged in correctly.
Check whether the unit is switched on. Check all LED elements for damages. The LED elements may be defective. Contact the Trotec customer service.
The device still does not operate correctly after these
checks: Please contact the customer service. If necessary, bring thedevice to an authorised specialist electrical company or to the
manufacturer for repair.
Errors and faults
Tasks which require the device to be opened must only
be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by
the manufacturer.
The device has been checked for proper functioning several
times during production. If malfunctions occur nonetheless, check the device according to the following list.
The device does not start:• Check the power connection.
Check the power cable and mains plug for damage. If you notice damages, do not try to take the device back into operation. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Check the on-site fusing. If the device is not starting, have the electrics checked by a specialist company or by the manufacturer.
The device does not emit heat:• The heating element may be defective. If the heating
element is defective, have it replaced by a specialist electrical company. Check the mains switch (3). If the operating control lamp is not illuminated, the device is switched off. Switch the device on.
RCD or another fuse trips:• Check the fuse. Switch off any other devices to reduce the
load on the line. Contact a specialist electrical company.• The device slightly vibrates during switch-on and then
stops vibrating:• Slight vibrations during switch-on are a normal process.
No measures are required.

Odours may occur upon initial start-up or after a longer
period of non-use.
• Before starting the device, check the condition of the
power cable. If there are doubts as to their sound condition, contact the customer service.
• Do not create tripping hazards when laying the power
cable or other electric cables, especially when positioning the device in the middle of the room. Use cable bridges.• Make sure that extension cables are completely unrolled.
• Make sure that there are no curtains or similar objects in
the immediate vicinity.
Connecting the power cable
• Connect the mains plug to a properly secured socket.
• Make sure that the mains cable does not touch any hot
• parts of the housing.
Route the power cable above the device. Ensure that the cable is never routed in the radiation area of the device!
Installation
When installing the device, observe the minimum distancesfrom walls and other objects as described in the Technical data
chapter.• Do not install the device directly behind a door.
• Never install the device in a way that it radiates directly
onto walls or other objects. Observe the minimumdistances from walls or other objects according to the
Technical data chapter.
Switching the device on
Once you have completely installed the device as described in
the chapter Assembly and start-up, you can switch it on.• Set the mains switch (3) to position I.
The device is in standby mode. The mains switch (3) is illuminated in red.
• Press the Power button (9) for several times to switch on
the heating and the LED elements or to activate the
device's standby mode again.
Notice
All settings can also be made via the remote control.
Shutdown
Do not touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands.
Set the mains switch (3) to position 0. Allow the device to cool down completely.• Disconnect the device from the mains by removing the
mains plug from the socket. When doing so, be sure to If required, clean the device according to the "Maintenance" chapter.Store the device according to the Transport and storage

Activating the LED elements
The grille (7) heats up during operation and can still be hot after switch-off. Do not touch the grille (7) during operation, wait until ithas cooled down after switch-off
The device does not respond to the infrared remote control:• Check whether the distance between remote control and
device is too large and reduce it if necessary.
• Make sure there are no obstacles, such as furniture or
walls, between the device and the remote control. Ensure visual contact between device and remote control.Check the charging status of the batteries and change
them if required. If the batteries have just been changed, check them for correct polarity.• The LED elements do not work:
• Check whether the power cable is plugged in correctly.
Check whether the unit is switched on. Check all LED elements for damages. The LED elements may be defective. Contact the Trotec customer service.
The device still does not operate correctly after these
checks: Please contact the customer service. If necessary, bring thedevice to an authorised specialist electrical company or to the
manufacturer for repair.
Errors and faults
Tasks which require the device to be opened must only
be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by
the manufacturer.
The device has been checked for proper functioning several
times during production. If malfunctions occur nonetheless, check the device according to the following list.
The device does not start:• Check the power connection.
Check the power cable and mains plug for damage. If you notice damages, do not try to take the device back into operation. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Check the on-site fusing. If the device is not starting, have the electrics checked by a specialist company or by the manufacturer.
The device does not emit heat:• The heating element may be defective. If the heating
element is defective, have it replaced by a specialist electrical company. Check the mains switch (3). If the operating control lamp is not illuminated, the device is switched off. Switch the device on.
RCD or another fuse trips:• Check the fuse. Switch off any other devices to reduce the
load on the line. Contact a specialist electrical company.• The device slightly vibrates during switch-on and then
stops vibrating:• Slight vibrations during switch-on are a normal process.
No measures are required.
